Standard Gel is the standard stunt industry gel. It is our most versatile and cost effective gel. It can be used on fire retardant undergarments as well as any exposed skin. Apply liberally the the fire retardant undergarments and let is soak in and absorb into the fabric. Before the stunt use more standard gel to protect the performer's exposed skin from heat or flames. You can also mix and match this gel with your needs and our other specialty gels.

It works equally well at room temperature (72°F/ 21°C) or chilled around 35°F (2°C). The temperature does not significantly affect the performance.

It is crystal clear in color. How thick the gel is applied and how big the flames are will effect how long you can do a burn. On average, with a moderate application of gel and flames, 0:15-0:45 is easily achievable. 

We recommend 4 gallons for a full burn when used to cover exposed skin and protective layers. If you are using it only to protect exposed skin we recommend 1 gallon for a full burn. If you are using it only on the protective undergarments we recommend 3 gallons. This will cover the protective undergarments and inside of the costume only.  If you plan on doing multiple takes you will likely need more than listed above.

This gel lasts three months unrefrigerated in a cool dry place but once opened must be refrigerated. If you want to keep it for extended periods of time you can freeze it for up to three years.
